Amani Kashisha Cyrille (DIT student leader)
"I grew up in Democratic Republic of Congo, in a Catholic Christian family where church attendance was a routine, yet I had not personally encountered the transforming power of God’s love.
In 2016, after moving to Uganda for studies, God began a new work in my life through university ministry, sparking the beginning of my genuine walk with Christ. A major turning point in my spiritual journey came in 2018 when I joined the Discipleship Intensive Training (DIT) program. During this time, I witnessed the selfless, unconditional, sacrificial, and everlasting love of God, expressed both through God’s Word and through the lives of believers around me. I grew deeper in understanding of theology (there are so many false preachers today), God’s character, and His purpose for my life.
I also had the privilege of observing a true model of a Christian family through the Carrolls, whose authenticity and devotion to God and love of others strengthened my faith. Pastor Dave has also modeled the father-son relationship that I struggled to have with my biological father. Through DIT and The Father's Heart book, God affirmed His love and awakened in me a passion for the ministry and my purpose in life. From being a student, later a student leader who brought other students to DIT, and now a partner who stands in prayer for students before, during, and after their DIT. Seeing my life and other lives transformed by God has been one of the greatest blessings in my journey.
Today, I walk in the joy and peace of God, trusting in His sovereignty in every season, whether good or challenging. I am committed to serving Him, sharing His love, and living out my faith in a community. I am deeply grateful to God for the The Father's Heart Ministries and the Carroll family, whose obedience and love have played a significant role in shaping my spiritual growth. All glory be to God!"
